A little Makeover

Taylor is home for 3 months and Friday she came over and played with the "O" team for awhile.  She read to Owen and put him to sleep then came downstairs to play with Olivia.  As I was sitting on the couch, I noticed Olivia and Taylor going through her purse.  Olivia was so infatuated with everything in Taylor's purse, especially the Lipsticks.  Being a great Aunt, Taylor let Olivia to put a little, well a whole lot of lipstick on her.....
" Hold still Tay-Tay"
" I'm almost done"
"OK I think its done now"
"Don't worry, I promise you look beautiful,
now it's my turn"
"OK Olivia, hold still"
"Tay-Tay make it look like yours!"
"OH My"
"Don't Worry, it's the new
look for Spring!?!"

Bathtub buddies

Bath time is always a favorite at our house. Every night after dinner Owen always goes and points at the stairs and says"bubbles" ! Bath time at our house is an adventure to say the least....

Scrub-a-dub-dub, two littles "O's" in the tub

A new year and a new beginning

This year is going to be full of changes. Jason and I have been in our town home for almost 11 years. Although we are VERY ready for a bigger house, a yard and a little more room to let loose:). However each special occasion that occurs will hold bittersweet memories for us, knowing they will be the last in this home.

We brought in the New Year very quiet this year, mainly because Owen and Olivia were sick but partly because we just can't stay up that late :)

Christmas PJ Party

I'm almost as exhausted writing these Christmas post, as I was on Christmas day:)  After we left Jason's moms house , Olivia and I dropped the boys off at home (because Owen was running a temperature and not feeling good) and quickly changed into our PJ's so we could head down to my brothers house.  This is the first year we wore our pajama's, we thought that since it was the evening and everyone would be tired, we would at least make sure we were comfortable:)  Also this year we played a gift card exchange, and although it was Christmas, everyone was quite competitive.

Three generations...
Almost the whole group...

getting a little fuel before the gift card game
trying to establish the rules
everyone getting their game faces on
Is it? Could it be? YES- a Bass Pro shop gift card!!
Going in for the steal....Poor Stephen
Thanks for being such a good sport

I'm glad we are family because this game
definitely had a few tense moments:)
"FLARP" putty, endless laughs to come
"Look MoM..Lipglosss"

We had such a great time making new traditions and fun memories
Can't wait until next year

HO-HO-HO Merry Christmas

This year Christmas was truly magical for our family.  This was the first year Olivia was starting to believe in the magic of Christmas.  We started out the season with our elf on the shelf,  Henry, but Olivia was not really into Henry this year.   Everyday Olivia would ask "Is Santa coming tonight?" and we would answer " Not yet".  So  when the time finally came, she was excited beyond words.  You could see the magic in her eyes and the sparkle of truly believing.  From our house, you can see a cable tower, which has a blinking light.  We used this to our advantage and told her that the light was Rudolph's nose helping guide the sleigh.  Jason made a little ruckus down stairs, which was suppose to serve as Santa landing on the roof.  She totally bought and as soon as she heard it she ran and jumped in the bed.....so precious!
                                                              (Santa's little helper)

When Olivia woke up the next morning she came into our bedroom and with the most disappointed look said "I don't think Santa came!"  We asked her why she thought that, and she said " because I didn't have any presents in my room!"  Bless her cute little heart, we quickly assured her that maybe Santa left them downstairs, so off we went.
                                                            Olivia was soooo excited

Of course Olivia had to check out Owens stuff  since he was busy playing with the boxes
Olivia's favorite was opening the presents, she loooved it
Olivia's favorite color is purplicious, so this bike was a VERY big deal for her
Remember safety first, and who would have thought that Owen would be into the bike too!  He immediately said "Ride" "Ride"
He threw a fit until we helped him on and pushed him around...HAHA
after all the excitement, it was time for a Christmas breakfast.....Cinnamon Rolls
While we ate Cinnamon Rolls, we watched CARS 2
and were even able to get a little snuggle time in
Now its time to rest before we head over to a Nana and Pops
