ONE FISH, TWO FISH, THREE FISH....

This weekend we went to our first ever fish fry.  Not the kind where you simply pay and eat but we actually had to catch our fish and then have it fried up!  Now I'm not really into the outdoorsy scene but I try to be a good sport (for the kids :) and it turns out I had a blast....

...with the fishing poles out and the bait ready, everyone was off to catch their dinner :)

A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS

One of my most favorites things to get from Olivia is her ART WORK!  I love, love, love it.  Olivia's new teacher for this year is  Mrs. Mary.  In her class they are introducing letters, numbers, colors, etc... This week the letter was "A" and the number was #0.  It is very special that Olivia has Mrs. Mary because when I was in college and worked along side Mrs. Mary in the HGBC after school and summer camp, so I know she is in great hands:)

K CUPS.... they are a must and a total indulgence but last Christmas my mother in law gave me a Keurig brewer for my birthday/Christmas present (yes, she is awesome!).  So I willingly indulge in a cup of HOT coffee whenever I want too.  Which by the way was a very rare thing before my Keurig bc everyone knows that with littles one you always pour a cup and then get called away to something else:)  I was super excited to hear that DD's had K-Cups now, so with the addition of DD's K-Cups and Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte's, I am in heaven:)

Knot Fairies and Gods Promise

Every morning we battle the case of the "knot fairies"!  Every morning Olivia's hair is a hot mess and we have to do our best to tame the bed head, but every morning it makes us laugh and brings a smile to our face.

Routines are a must with children, but every once in awhile they will surprise you.  Some nights Olivia wants to put all her dolls in the bed and some nights its all her books.  But every night we read 2 books of her choice, this night was her Bible stories.  While reading her the story of Noah's Ark, I told Olivia that God made it rain for 40 days and 40 nights and that at the end He sent a rainbow. Olivia said "That's His Promise"....my heart melted and tears filled my eyes.  I love her so much and I am so thankful for her!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY OWEN

Its so crazy to think how different things can change in one year and how fast time flies by.  A year ago Jason and I were on our way to the hospital to be induced with our son, Owen.  Although, I was expecting an easy delivery, being the second baby and all, it was much the same as the first time...looong, hard and very difficult!  But here we are with one of the best gifts a mom could have.  Owen has been a great baby from the very beginning, rarely fussy, and always smiling.  His smile lights up his whole face.  He knows exactly what he likes and dislikes, from early on he decided no more baby food and moved straight to table food, and he loooved his bottle.  He would always do a grunting chant when he saw it (Jason and I would sometimes entice him with his bottle just to see his grunting chant/chubster dance).  He loves cars and balls and hates being in his car seat.  I love him so, so much and although we weren't expecting for our family to grow so quickly, our hearts couldn't be more complete.  Happy 1st Birthday OWEN CARTER WILLIAMS.
